The animals and environment

The Environment of this Speculative Evolution Project is mostly a underwater , Marine and muddy Environment which mostly has Animals living Near the shore Of the Ocean like how many small animals do on earth. This Project will mostly be looking at life which resembles animals from the Ediacaran period on earth , which was the last period In the Cryogenian Era, And also sparked the run for the beginnings of Multicellular Organisms. Most of which Were Mostly Sessile And Did not Move that much .

Most of the animals in this project resemble Slugs , worms And sponge-like organisms From earth. The animals In this Speculative Evolution Project Mostly Either Filter Feed (Filter Out Zooplankton And Phytoplankton From The Water Using Small Hole-like Structures Which appear on their Heads And Mostly Give the Impression That They have Eyes, And Are Also very Numerous in number) While Some Feed on Algal Or Microbial Mats By Absorbing the Microbes Into The body Of the animal By using its Soft And fragile body To its Advantage to Let Microbes in and Then use them As food in order To Sustain Their Body.

Environment

The Environment in which these organisms Reside in Is Similar In Structure To the Environment in Which Ediacaran period Organisms Lived in (that Environment Being Muddy and sandy), But , The main Difference Is that there Are a lot more Microbial And/or Algal mats. the Microbial Mats Serve As Food For the "Microafeeders" Which Are small , Worm-like Organisms Which Mostly reside on Microbial Mats And rest on them , the algal mats are Not fed Upon By anything Due To there being Nothing which the organisms Can Use In order To better Help them Digest the large Mats made Out Of Phytoplankton And Algae-like Microbes Which Gather Up In large Numbers called "Sploifirmors" Which is Caused By the Rapid Asexual Reproduction Which These microbes Exceed. The Organisms Which Do A method Of Filter-feeding Are Called "Filtravores" , They mostly use Small , Hole-like Structures Which Are Either Spread Across Their Bodies In A single line , or appear On the Head. These Small Hole-like Structures Are Called "fillophiliae" And Are Sometimes Confused With Eyes, Giving The impression that The organism possess Eyes, Which Is false In the terms that these Life Forms are Extremely primitive in Structure , Anatomy And Body plan. Some Of them not Even Possessing Proper Digestive tracks Which allows Them To better consume the plankton Or Microbial mats, Instead , They Absorb The Microbes through Their Skin , and let them be consumed By The soft Skin They have.

Animals

The Animals In The oceans Of this Planet Are very primitive-looking and Resemble organisms From The Precambrian Era Due To how Simple They are And How Their Anatomy Is Similar To That of Proto-animals (Proto-animals being Another fancy Way Invented By Scientists to say "First Animals", Which , lets Be real Here, Is useless When you Can just say "first Animals"). These Organisms Mostly Resemble Either large , Pancake-like Worms , Short And stubby Worm-like Animals Or , Resemble Some Proto-Arthropods From the Ediacaran period. The Pancake-like Worms From On this Planet Are Referred To as the "Protoagriculates" , Most Of the animals Which Are Pancake-like Worms Absorb Microbes From microbial mats By letting them Go through The skin , Then Force the Microbes To go Into the Digestive track Where They slowly get Liquified And Turned Into food The Animal Can Absorb Through The body To give it energy. The Short, And stubby Worm-like Creatures on this Planet are Called "Praeuroglia" , These Creatures are Extremely Simple , they Mostly Feed On microbial mats By, As mentioned Earlier, Letting The microbes In Through Their Soft Skin , But this time , They don't Have Multiple Digestive branches which Are Spread All Across their Bodies , They Liquify The Microbes Slowly As They Adventure Through The simple body, The Animals are uneffected By the Microbes Seeing as They Are Simple Microbe-like Creatures Which have The Functionalities Of Phytoplankton , Yet can Still Actively move And gather To Make These Microbial mats. The Much More Advanced Animals Resembling Proto-arthropods From The Ediacaran period Are Named "Arthreurids" , These Animals are Mostly Filter Feeding Animals Using The Before Mentioned fillophiliae Which Appear on their Heads Or bodies , They Use Those Hole-like Structures By pulling in Water From The Area In Which They Are In Through Those Holes, And inside those Holes are Tiny , Hair-like Structures Which Trap The Tiny "plankton" (which Are Actually Just really small Microbes Which Act In A Similar Manor to Plankton On earth) And They Catch These Plankton because the hair Structures are Big Enough to block The Plankton from Going Anywhere else. Then, After they catch Their Plankton, The hairs force themselves into the main body of the animal And Then shoot Away The Plankton into A Digestive branch , A Digestive Branch Being The simple Digestive track of The animal on this planet And Act As Miniature , Elongated stomachs just Without The acid. And then , after they have consumed The plankton , They get the Energy From The food.

As you Can see, The Animals On This Planet Have begun To Already Diversify a bit Into much Cooler and Advanced Forms Of themselves, The Most Notable of which Are the Arthreurids Which Have evolved A way of Extremely Primitive Filter Feeding. One of the Arthreurids Can be Seen above , the Tuta Vermis , Or otherwise Called the "shielded worm" Is one Of those many examples of filter Feeding Animals With The fillophiliae.

The animals

The animals on this planet will be discussed and looked at in this part of the site. As mentioned before , The animals will be grouped with what characteristics they have (like the fillophiliae being a characteristic of the Arthreurids).

Tuta Vermis

The Tuta vermis is An animal in the group Arthreurids And has 18 of the fillophiliae. The Tuta vermis's name In english is "Shielded worm" which corelates To How it looks like A Worm With A really big , Large shield-like Structure Covering the Sides of the animal. This Animal Mostly Resembles Bomakellia , Which Was An Ediacaran Rangeomorph Animal Originally Though To be A Primitive Anomalocarid, Which Had the First Ever Eyes In the Animal Kingdom. The Tuta vermis has Bilateral Symmetry. The Tuta vermis Can be Covered in three Parts, Those three parts being The 'thorax' (the main body) , The 'Head' (the part which Contains The little bump At The Front Of the animal And also has A Bump at The back of the head Which makes The animal Look A lot bigger) and The 'cleortropes' (which are The Hard , fleshy parts Which Resemble fins). The Tuta Vermis has 10 of these Cleortropes, Five Of them On each side , and two of them Go under the head, Those 2 being the Ones At the very front Which are also the tiniest. The animal has A darkish Green head, A Blueish-green body and Yellow Cleortropes. It also has the fillophilia Which appears In almost all Arthreurids.
