The main focus of this meeting is to discuss some recent developments in the geometric and analytic aspects of Spectral Geometry among a small group of mathematicians. This low budget meeting also aims to discover some new directions for future work. Hoping that beginners as well as the veterans benefit from this meeting. We also wish to give participation opportunity to those college teachers and corporate professionals who want to get back to their research in spectral geometry after a gap.

This meeting is going to be held in a physical mode. It's the second one of this nature in India on Spectral Geometry. The first one was organised by us at the same venue in September 2024. We hope to continue holding such meetings every alternate year in future as well.

This meeting is supported by the Mathematics Department of IISER Pune.

The name spectral theory was introduced by David Hilbert in his original formulation of Hilbert space theory, which was cast in terms of quadratic forms in infinitely many variables. Hilbert himself was surprised by the unexpected application of this theory to quantum mechanics, noting that "I developed my theory of infinitely many variables from purely mathematical interests, and even called it 'spectral analysis' without any presentiment that it would later find application to the actual spectrum of physics."
