Solitude Poetry

Solitude Poetry was an annual event that took place at Solitude of Virginia Tech in the Winter of each year from 2012-2019 and was revised again in 2027 and is made possible by the Appalachian Studies Department and Virginia Tech. Local Poets from Blacksburg and regionally from the Appalachian Author's Guild/ West Virginia Writers as well as a show including the Travelin Appalachians were a part of the yearly event. Readers were given an honorarium by Virginia Tech. Thank you to Dr. Anita Puckett as well for making this possible at Virginia Tech.
