This Privacy Policy applies to the Specter Android application ("the App"). The App is designed to perform real-time acoustic signal analysis and generation. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how data is handled.
Microphone Access: The App requests the RECORD_AUDIO permission strictly to perform real-time acoustic signal analysis (such as Fast Fourier Transform, matched filtering, and waveform visualization) directly on your device.
No Recording or Transmission: All acoustic data is processed ephemerally in volatile memory (RAM) and immediately discarded. The App does not create, record, store, or transmit any audio files or acoustic recordings over the internet.
The App integrates Google AdMob to display advertisements. Because the App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK, certain device information is automatically collected and shared with Google:
Data Collected & Shared: Device or other identifiers (including Android Advertising ID, IP address, device model, and diagnostic/performance metrics).
Purposes:
Advertising & Marketing: To serve contextual or personalized advertisements and manage frequency capping.
Analytics: To measure ad performance and viewability.
Fraud Prevention, Security, & Compliance: To detect invalid traffic, prevent fraud, and ensure platform security.
Data Transmission: All ad-related network traffic is encrypted in transit via standard HTTPS protocols.

Data Deletion: The App does not maintain user accounts, profiles, or independent cloud databases; therefore, we do not store personal data that can be manually deleted upon request. Data collected by Google AdMob is managed according to Google's standard data retention policies.
Managing Ad Preferences: You can opt out of personalized advertising or reset your Android Advertising ID at any time through your device settings (Settings $\rightarrow$ Google $\rightarrow$ Ads).
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable legal and store requirements. Updates will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
