App Name: Specimen Stack

Developer Contact: specimenstack-support@gmail.com

Overview

Specimen Stack is a plant record application that helps users keep local notes about plants, photos, watering activity, health ratings, soil details, light needs, and care intervals. This policy explains how the app handles information based on the current source code.

Information We Collect

The app stores information that you enter into the app, including plant names, planted dates, last watered dates, watering intervals, soil type, light requirement, notes, health ratings, watering logs, journal entries, and local photo file paths. The app may access photos you select from your device gallery through the image picker so those photos can be associated with a plant record. The app uses Google Play Billing for optional contribution purchases.

Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

The app does not include an account system, authentication, cloud sync, analytics SDK, ads SDK, crash reporting SDK, location access, camera capture flow, microphone access, contacts access, notification permission logic, or social features in the inspected source code.

How We Use Information

Information stored in the app is used to display your plant records, calculate care readouts, show watering history, show chart summaries, support editing and deletion, and associate selected photos with plant entries.

Data Sharing

The app does not intentionally share your plant records with the developer or a custom backend. Optional purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. The privacy policy screen loads a Google Sites page in a WebView.

Third-Party Services

The app uses Google Play Billing for voluntary in-app contribution purchases and WebView technology to display the privacy policy URL. Device and platform services may process data as needed to provide billing, WebView, local file access, and selected-photo access.

Data Storage and Security

Plant records are stored locally on your device using Hive. Selected photo paths are stored in local app data. The app does not implement a separate cloud backup or custom encryption layer in the inspected source code. Protecting access to your device helps protect your app data.

Data Retention and Deletion

Plant records remain on your device until you edit or delete them. The app includes delete actions for plant records, journal entries, and all plant data. Removing the app may also remove locally stored app data depending on your device and operating system behavior.

Children’s Privacy

Specimen Stack is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, contact the developer at the email below.

User Choices

You can choose what plant information to enter, whether to select photos, whether to make optional contribution purchases, and whether to delete records in the app. You can also use your device settings to manage app permissions and storage.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when the app changes. Updates should be posted at the policy URL listed above with a new effective date.
