SpecBridge – Privacy Policy

1. INTRODUCTION. SpecBridge ("we", "our", "app") is a material grade cross-reference application developed for engineers and materials professionals. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application.
2. DATA WE COLLECT. We collect the following information: - Mobile phone number (for OTP-based login only) - Device ID (for security and session management) - Search activity (stored locally on your device only) - Payment details (processed entirely by Razorpay; we do not store card or bank information)
3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA. We use your data solely to: - Verify your identity via OTP - Manage your subscription and access - Prevent unauthorized or fraudulent access - Monitor app stability via Firebase Crashlytics
4. DATA SHARING. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Data is shared only with trusted third-party services required to operate the app: - Google Firebase – authentication, database, and crash reporting - Razorpay – payment processing and subscription management These partners maintain their own privacy policies and comply with applicable data protection laws.
5. DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION. Your account data is stored securely on Firebase servers. Search history is stored only on your local device. Data is retained as long as your account remains active. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
6. SECURITY. We implement industry-standard security measures including Firebase Security Rules, encrypted storage, OTP-based authentication, and device-level session management to protect your data from unauthorized access.
7. CHILDREN. SpecBridge is strictly intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Users must confirm their age at registration.
8. YOUR RIGHTS. You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. We will acknowledge your request within 7 days and respond within 30 days. We reserve the right to verify your identity before processing any request. Requests found to be frivolous, repetitive, or made in bad faith may be declined. Retention of certain data may be necessary to comply with legal obligations or to resolve disputes.
9. PAYMENTS AND REFUNDS. All payments are processed by Razorpay. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy. We do not store any payment card or bank account details on our servers.
10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY. We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes will be published within the app and on this page. Continued use of SpecBridge after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
11. GOVERNING LAW. This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
