1. INTRODUCTION

This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use
the Speaker Cleaner mobile application ("the App", "we", "us", "our"),
how that information is used, who it is shared with, and what choices
and rights you have.
Speaker Cleaner is a utility that plays tuned sound frequencies through
your device speaker to help dislodge trapped water and loosen dust. All
audio is generated on your device in real time.
By downloading or using the App you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you
do not agree with it, please do not use the App.

2. SUMMARY IN PLAIN LANGUAGE

- We do not ask you to create an account and we do not collect your
name, email address, phone number or any other information that
directly identifies you.
- The App does not access your microphone, camera, contacts, photos,
files or precise location.
- The App displays advertising supplied by Google AdMob. To serve and
measure those ads, Google collects certain device and usage data,
including your device Advertising ID and IP address.
- The only setting the App stores is your dark or light theme choice,
and it is stored on your device only.

3. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT

We do not collect, request, store or transmit:
- Your name, email address, postal address or telephone number
- Account credentials or passwords, because the App has no accounts
- Microphone or recorded audio of any kind. The App only plays sound,
it never listens. No microphone permission is requested or granted.
- Camera images, photographs or media files
- Contacts, call logs, SMS messages or calendar data
- Precise GPS location
- Health data, financial data or payment card details
The App contains no in-app purchases and processes no payments.

4. INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

The App stores the following locally on your device. It is never
transmitted to us or to any third party.
a) Theme preference. Whether you selected dark or light mode, saved
using the Android shared preferences mechanism so the App reopens
in the appearance you chose.
b) Temporary audio files. Each cleaning tone is generated by the App
as a short sound file and written to the App's own private
temporary folder so it can be played back and looped. These files
contain nothing but a generated tone. They are deleted when they
are no longer in use and are removed entirely when the App is
closed or uninstalled.
Uninstalling the App removes all of this local data.

5. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY BY ADVERTISING

The App is supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob, a mobile
advertising service provided by Google LLC and, for users in the
European Economic Area, Google Ireland Limited.
To select, deliver, cap, measure and report on advertisements, the
Google Mobile Ads SDK embedded in the App may collect and process:
- Device Advertising ID, a resettable identifier assigned by Android
that is used for advertising purposes
- IP address, from which an approximate, city or region level
location may be derived. We do not receive precise GPS location.
- Device information such as device model, manufacturer, operating
system version, language, country, screen size and network type
- Ad interaction data such as which ads were requested, shown,
viewed, clicked or closed, and how long they were displayed
- App usage information such as when the App is opened and general
interaction events associated with ad serving
- Crash and diagnostic information relating to the advertising SDK
This information is collected by Google directly through the SDK. We do
not receive it in a form that identifies you personally. We see only
aggregated, anonymous reporting in our AdMob dashboard, such as total
impressions, clicks and estimated revenue.
Google may use this information to serve personalised advertising,
which is advertising selected on the basis of a profile built from your
activity over time and across different apps and websites, or
non-personalised advertising, which is based only on contextual
information such as the App content and coarse location.

6. YOUR ADVERTISING CHOICES

You are in control of how the Advertising ID is used.
a) Opt out of ad personalisation. On your Android device open
Settings, then Google, then Ads, and turn on "Opt out of Ads
Personalisation". You will still see ads, but they will not be
personalised.
b) Delete or reset your Advertising ID. In the same Ads settings
screen you can reset the identifier, which disconnects it from
any previously built profile, or delete it entirely on Android 12
and later. When the Advertising ID is deleted, apps receive a
string of zeros instead.
c) Withdraw consent. If you are in a region where we ask for consent
before serving personalised ads, you can change your choice at
any time from the privacy or consent option inside the App, or by
contacting us at the email address in section 15.
d) Remove ads by uninstalling. Uninstalling the App stops all data
collection by the advertising SDK immediately.

7. THIRD PARTY SERVICES

The App relies on the following third party services. Each operates
under its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to read them.

8. HOW THE INFORMATION IS USED

Information described in this policy is used only to:
- Display advertising that keeps the App free to download and use
- Limit how often the same advertisement is shown to you
- Measure advertising performance and detect invalid or fraudulent
ad traffic
- Diagnose crashes and technical faults so the App can be improved
- Remember your appearance preference between sessions
We do not use this information to build a profile about you, to contact
you, or for any automated decision making that produces legal or
similarly significant effects.

9. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING (EEA, UNITED KINGDOM, SWITZERLAND)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or
Switzerland, our legal bases under the General Data Protection
Regulation and the UK GDPR are:
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) for personalised advertising and for any
storage of, or access to, information on your device that is not
strictly necessary. We obtain this consent through a Google
certified consent message displayed the first time you open the
App, using the Google User Messaging Platform and the IAB
Transparency and Consent Framework.
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) for non-personalised
advertising, fraud prevention, security, and basic diagnostics,
where our interest in keeping the App free, safe and functional is
balanced against your rights and freedoms.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the
lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal. If you decline
consent you will continue to be able to use every feature of the App,
and you will be shown non-personalised advertising instead.

10. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data held about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request erasure of your data
- Object to, or request restriction of, processing
- Request a portable copy of your data
- Withdraw a consent you previously gave
- Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority
Because the App does not collect information that identifies you, we
usually cannot locate any record relating to a specific person. To
exercise a right in relation to data held by Google as our advertising
partner, use the Google account and advertising controls at
https://myadcenter.google.com and https://myaccount.google.com/data-and-privacy

within thirty days, or sooner where the law requires it.
California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as
amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, you have the right to
know what personal information is collected, to delete it, to correct
it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing for cross context behavioural
advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. The use of
the Advertising ID for personalised advertising may be treated as
"sharing" under that law, and you can opt out using the device controls
described in section 6. We will not discriminate against you for
exercising any of these rights.

11. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not
knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App
is rated for a general audience and is not listed in the Google Play
Families programme.
If you believe that a child under 13 has provided information through
the App, please contact us at [support@yourdomain.com] and we will
delete the relevant data promptly.
[If you decide to target children or list the App in the Families
programme, you must instead configure the AdMob SDK for child directed
treatment and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act
and the Google Play Families Policy, and this section must be rewritten
accordingly.]

12. DEVICE PERMISSIONS THE APP USES
--------------------------------------------------------------------
INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
Required to request and display advertisements. The cleaning features
themselves work fully offline.
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID
Allows the advertising SDK to read the resettable Advertising ID on
Android 13 and later. See section 6 for how to opt out or reset it.
WAKE_LOCK
Keeps the screen from switching off during an 80 second cleaning
cycle so you can see the countdown and stop it at any time. It is
released as soon as the cycle ends.
The App requests no microphone, camera, location, storage, contacts or
telephone permission. Generated tone files are written to the App's own
private temporary folder, which requires no storage permission and is
not readable by other apps.

13. DATA RETENTION, SECURITY AND INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Retention. We operate no servers and hold no database of users, so we
retain no personal data ourselves. Data collected by Google through the
advertising SDK is retained according to Google's own retention
schedules, described at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Local data on your device is kept until you clear the App's data or
uninstall it.
Security. Data transmitted by the advertising SDK is encrypted in
transit using industry standard TLS. No method of transmission or
storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute
security.
International transfers. Google may process data in countries other
than your own, including the United States. Where data is transferred
out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, Google relies
on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and other
approved safeguards. Details are in Google's privacy policy.

14. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, to the
services we use, or to legal requirements. When we do, we will revise
the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and publish the new
version at this address.
Where a change materially affects how your information is handled, we
will provide a clear notice inside the App and, where the law requires
it, ask for your consent again. Continuing to use the App after an
update takes effect means you accept the revised policy.

16. DISCLAIMER REGARDING APP FUNCTION

This section is not part of our data practices. It is included so that
the same page answers the safety question users most often ask.
Speaker Cleaner plays sound frequencies intended to help move water and
dust that is sitting in or near the speaker opening. It cannot dry the
interior of a device, it is not a repair service, and it is not a
substitute for professional inspection of a water damaged phone.
Results vary by device, by how much liquid entered it and by how long
the liquid has been present.
Play cleaning tones at a sensible volume and keep the device away from
your ear while a tone is playing. You use the App at your own risk, and
to the fullest extent permitted by law we accept no liability for any
damage to a device or to hearing arising from its use.
