How to reach Pavia

By plane, the closest airports are Milan Malpensa and Milan Linate Airports. From Milan Malpensa and Milan Linate there are buses to Milan Centrale station, from Milan Centrale there are trains to Pavia every half hour lasting 20-30 minutes.

By train, it depends on the departure station, you usually arrive at Milano Centrale or Milano Rogoredo and then take the regional train to Pavia. In other cases, there are direct connections to Pavia.

The aula Scarpa is in the headquarters of the University of Pavia, right in the center of the town. The address is: Strada Nuova, 126b, 27100, Pavia. The workshop venue is 5 minutes walking from the main square of the town, Piazza Vittoria and 15/20 minutes walking from the train station.

Where to eat in Pavia

Take an apero in piazza della Vittoria! The "bacaro poetico" has more than 40 types of spritz.

Osteria della malora (Borgo Ticino). One of the best for quality, prices slightly higher that Cupolone and povero Lele.

Hostaria al Cupolone (next to the duomo). Traditional, informal. Warm particular environment, also very good for just an apero (but with a lot of food).

Osteria della Madonna Da Peo. Traditional cooking from Lombardia and Pavia, slighlty gourmet.

Povero Lele (Borgo Ticino). Traditional, informal. Can be noisy.

La Torre degli Aquila. A bit more expensive and elegant with respect to the previous ones, special location in an old tower in the main street of pavia. Small portions.

250 grammi for a good pizza!

Al Vita restaurant and cafe. International environment, large menu with many choices and good quality. Also fish.

Glass Bistrot. Little special bistrot, with a selected and particular menu, more expensive with respect to the previous ones. Small unique room, mandatory to book in advance. Also fish.

I due sapori, a bit more to the side with respect to the center. Good quality for fish.
