All of us; the parents, guardians, and caregivers of the Haley students
A forum to unite parents as the voice of the Haley community
Advocates for quality education for Haley students
Connection to professionals who speak about issues that affect the Haley community
Supports experiential learning for Haley students through fundraising
When/where does the SPC meet?

Co-Chair Responsibilities:
Lead SPC with another Co-Chair
Approximately 4 to 8 hours volunteer commitment per month (depends on schedule and events)
Develop and co-lead all SPC monthly meetings and draft agendas
Meet with SPC leadership team and Haley Pilot Admin, as scheduled
Two year commitment

INTRODUCTION TO MR. GRAHAM’S ROLE
Mr. Graham is the Family Liaison at the Haley. He is a proud product of Boston Public Schools. One of Mr. Graham’s passions is connecting with families and having the opportunity to serve families with a level of excellence. As your Family Liaison, Mr. Graham’s goal is to ensure equity is maintained throughout The Haley community. His job is to bridge the gap between home and school. Mr. Graham made a point of saying that if you contact him and he does not get back to you, please BUG him. Reminders are a good thing.

Facts and safety around the COVID 19 vaccine
Promoting children’s reading at home
Community relationship and partnerships (including business development and air quality) around the Haley neighborhood
Q & A w/Haley Principal, Mrs. Kathleen Sullivan
Review of the work of reading support and reading specialists at the Haley
New ideas:
Tutoring options for Math and ELA support
Inclusion and what it means in the educational setting, including inclusive language. What does inclusion look like at the Haley?
A visit from the nurse regarding health updates
Update on the My Way Café
A few ideas that came up last year, although were not yet addressed
Parents have liked hearing the Health teacher present about the curriculum for each Haley class.
A night to hear from Benjamin Franklin Institute about college and trade school opportunities.
Bullying and social interactions

A few COVID updates:
Air filters in the building are changed daily
If a student tests positive, they are to remain home for 5 days and then return to school in a mask for the next 5 days
No pool testing this year
