2nd Grade: Community Gardens
3rd Grade: Old Sturbridge Village
4th Grade: Lowell Mills, Carson Beach, Rose Kennedy Greenway
5th Grade: Boat Building, Camp Beckett
6th Grade: Olympics
Whole School: Theater staging, mural supplies, sensory materials for classrooms, musical instrument supplies
Our list of fundraisers changes every year, but here are some of the events we have done in the past few years:
Rozzie Bound Community Partnership - We have an ongoing partnership with local bookseller www.rozziebound.com. The Haley receives a portion of the sale of books from the Haley Pilot School bookshelf.
Read-A-Thon (via Pledgestar) - This fundraiser lets students email family and friends asking for pledges for reading during a three week period. This fundraiser usually occurs in February.
Winter Gift Baskets - The Haley SPC has sold locally-sourced winter gift baskets that make perfect holiday gifts for winter holidays
Book Fair - A fall event where parents and students can shop for books at the Haley and support the SPC
Chocolate Sale - students can sell chocolate bars to raise funds for school experiences and field trips
Haley Art Festival - an event to celebrate students' work in visual and performing arts, with auction items and other fundraising components
Every year, Haley School staff, students, and families look forward to events and traditions. Since COVID closed schools in 2020, some of these traditions have been changed or postponed. It is impossible to predict what the 2023-2024 year will bring, but here are some beloved Haley events that might happen, either virtually or in-person.
