The Spaxton Society was founded in 1973 by a group of residents and friends having a connection with the village of Spaxton in the county of Somerset, England. The Society exists to promote knowledge in all subjects of local interest, including history, the arts, agriculture, industry, ecology and the countryside. The Society's committee organises a season of monthly talks, from September to the following April, and a summer visit to a site of local interest. All talks are held at 7-30pm in the pavilion at Spaxton Village Hall.
