Spawn of the Stars is a story about three leaders chosen by the gods of a galaxy known as Paradox Paradise. Each hero is given a Ring of Fate which represents wisdom, courage and power. These heroes were brought together by their destinies to defeat the Tenebrous King, Malus.

Pilot Art and Concepts
Art and concepts that never made it into the final comic, I also have had 8 different rewrites in the last decade for this comic, so it's not uncommon for me to reuse concepts or look back at old works.
This was part of my 7th rewrite (2020)
I originally wanted to go for a high school beginning of the story, but I ended up not liking the direction I was taking the story in. It didn't connect or fit with the type of fantasy story I wanted to write and found myself stuck on this concept for a long time. Animes usually start their protagonists off in school and then something magical happens that changes their entire life around, but I didn't think I wanted to go that way. I ultimately gave up and went back to the drawing board.
This original concept had Leo going to school, still retaining his purple features. He was bullied often by a background character and he had this snarky attitude. He got in a fight with this background character and ended up finding himself in the principles office. In this version he he was thrown out of his family home and lived by himself in a small apartment. He ended up dropping out of school. He didn't feel like he had any reason to stay and he dreamed of a better life. He recalled dreaming of a unicorn dragon with a blue ring. That concept was from the 6th rewritten version.
The 6th rewrite (2020) was my first original release of Spawn of the Stars, but it went into hiatus when I got busier with my education, experiencing burn out and overall ended up disliking the story narrative I was putting fourth. I am a very picky writer and hold myself to quite high standards.
You can still read the pilot on webtoons, I am not a fan of working with the scroll formatting, it feels restrictive to me. I love my comics to be in a very manga esq style.
I may end up reusing some of these concepts and artworks in the future, but I was trying for a reincarnation aspect. I was very conflicted if I wanted these characters to be one in the same reliving life with the same memories or to be their own person. I tried to go for an aspect of half reincarnation but found it difficult to get into it. This also introduces you to Generation Five's protagonist, Lilo. A far descendant of Leo. Lilo and his trio will be seen in way later chapters.
This was the original format I went with, but because I was posting on webtoons I had to reformat everything smaller and more spaced out for it's mobile scroll feature. You could barely see the text on this format on webtoons. I reformatted it and it was done poorly. I ended up moving my comics back to tumblr giving up on posting to webtoons or any other comic website. I just like doing things my own way. I also had my comics where you read from right to left, but because I'm American and dyslexic, I went back to standard left to right. I was tripping myself up there. I can read just fine right to left on manga, but when I'm making it? oh boy, that's just messing with my own head.

Script
For my final exam semester Spring 2023, the class was tasked with script writing
I wrote a script based off chapter 1 of this comic, though it is slightly different to the original chapter itself due to critiques I received.
There was also additional content not drawn into that chapter within this script (Which none of us had done before and had to learn as we wrote it)
