We prioritize your privacy. The core spending data you enter into Sparse stays on your device.
All data entered into the Sparse app (including purchase history, check-ins, and settings) is stored locally on your device in the app's private storage. We do not collect, transmit, or store this personal data on our servers, and we do not have access to it.
Third-Party Services
In-App Purchases
Sparse offers premium features via in-app purchases. We use **RevenueCat** to manage subscriptions and purchase state. When you make a purchase, certain non-personal transaction data (such as product identifiers and timestamps) is processed by RevenueCat and the respective app store (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) to validate and manage your subscription. This data is associated with an anonymous identifier and is not linked to the personal spending records stored on your device.
Analytics
The app does not use any third-party analytics or tracking services for your spending habits.
Data Retention
Since your spending data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it.Â
- Local Data: Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all data associated with it unless you have manually exported a backup.
- Backups: If you use the manual backup feature, the resulting file is stored where you choose and is under your control.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app.
