Mark has played music professionally for over 4 decades. He started his career at the age of 14 playing with a well known band with Harold Stuckwish and "The Country Roads" in the Illinois Mississippi River Region. He then moved on to travel the United States with 2 other area musicians playing hotels. In 1983 Mark joined a rock band called Dennis Tieken and U.R.S.A. which toured Chicago and other large cities. He shared the stage with "Molly Hatchet", "Rick Derringer", "The Romantics" just to name a few. He stopped in Florida to play locally with "The Symptoms" and "Profile" in the mid eighties where he had many top performers set in with his bands, like " Leon Wilkeson" from
Lynyrd Skynyrd. In 1990 Mark relocated to Las Vegas where he played with the "Don Dino Show" at the world famous Four Queens Hotel Casino. He also played bass with "Cornell Gunthers Coasters". He then went on to play with "Dave Coady's Irish Express at the Stardust Casino and other Sam Boyd properties. In 1999 his career made a huge musical change. He began creating Music and Sound Effects for Slot Machines. He also opened a Recording Studio in Las Vegas "Crazy 8's and Songbird Studios". He had an original project "Klick" which can be heard on all streaming platforms and an EP called "First Run" which featured on lead guitar "Eric Bazilian from the Hooters" and writer of the song "What If God was One of Us". He has a liflong musical project with his friend Steven Holsted writing and producing original songs which are available on all streaming sites and has had many #1 hits on the z93 radio station Top 20. He was a Senior Sound Designer at Konami Gaming for 14 years in Las Vegas and then relocated to Delaware, Ohio. He now performs as "Sparrow Solo Act".
