We had an amazing time at our public speaking workshop! Students wrote and presented 2 stellar speeches that showed off their creative thinking! Their unique ways of writing were fascinating to watch as they developed a personal style over the 2 day workshop.

During our recent Engineering Workshop, students immersed themselves in the fundamentals of structural design, from bridge dynamics to tower stability. Through hands-on challenges, they applied newfound skills, fostering creativity and teamwork among peers. The workshop concluded with resounding success, as students celebrated their achievements in mastering engineering principles!

In our November Circuitry Workshop, students learned about the basics of circuits and electricity, from resistance to buttons. They also applied these newly learned skills to hands-on challenges and got a chance to use their creativity and problem-solving skills with their friends. Everyone had a great time using their new circuitry knowledge!

In our July Python Workshop, students were able to learning about the fundamentals of Python. They also applied their new skills to hands-on programming projects and advanced challenges that worked their brains. Everyone had a blast working together to showcase their new coding skills!

In our June Walk in Science Workshop, students had an exciting and educational time learning about the earth, air, and water. Students were engaged in hands-on activities that ranged from oil spill simulations all the way to the wonders of photosynthesis! Everyone worked together to deepen their understanding about the place we call home!

In our April Art of Writing Workshop, the students learned about writing blog posts and biographies! They also had fun practicing figurative language, homophones, and parts of speech. The students worked with each other and used their creativity to come up with awesome ideas!

Our April Circuitry Workshop featured hands-on circuit building that students thoroughly enjoyed!  Not only did the students learn about and construct different circuits, but they also engaged with their peers to troubleshoot!

In February, we hosted our first workshop exclusively for elementary schoolers--the Art with Math workshop. The workshop was a huge success, and students had a ton of fun learning math concepts through interactive, art-centered activities! We look forward to offering similar workshops in the near future.

Our Neuroscience Workshop featured a guest speaker for the first time. Dr. Madhuvanthi Kannan, a neuroscience professor at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, talked to students about her career, research, and answered questions in conjunction with Indira Rao, a neuroscience student at the University of Minnesota. The workshop was a great success, and we are hoping to feature more guest speakers in future workshops!

Sparkway's Summer Biology workshop saw record attendance! Students learned about water properties, macromolecules, and cell organelles, among other topics.

Sparkway's Python workshop was very successful! Students learned the basics of Python through interactive projects and programmed their own game for their final project! This workshop rivaled the Public Speaking workshop in attendance, and it was great to see students take initiative and pursue their interest in Python!

The Minnesota chapter concluded their second workshop regarding Public Speaking with a record-breaking 31 students! Every student wrote and recited their own speech while learning in a fun and educational environment beside other peers!

Students had a great time delving into the entrepreneurial world. They learned about several industries and researched famous companies. They then implemented this knowledge when devising their own business. They also learned about marketing and how to professionally pitch a business idea to investors.

The Texas Chapter held it's first Summer Workshop -- an energy workshop! Students learned about transfers of energy while getting hands-on experience and seeing the science in work through their own creations! Everyone had a lot of fun!

The Minnesota Chapter held a 3-day long web development workshop. Everyone had a blast with interactive projects, and every student took home 3 websites including one that was a personal portfolio!
