SPARKS DANCE COMPANY

Sparks Dance Company is the University of Pennsylvania's premiere dance company dedicated to both performing and community service.

Founded in 1989, Sparks Dance Company (SDC) maintains a high technical level of many styles of dance including ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, and hip hop. The company performs at two self-choreographed shows, as well as campus events throughout the year such as Student Performing Arts Night, the Emily Sachs Dance Benefit, and the Harnwell Arts House Showcase. SDC members also share their love of dance through community service at various Philadelphia locales, leading warmups and performing showcases at After School Performing Arts at Penn and numerous senior homes.
