About the Teachers
William Spannagel is in his fourteenth year of teaching music at Hugh Bish Elementary in Lawton along with maintaining a full schedule of private piano students. He received his Bachelors degree from Cameron University and has Masters degrees from Cameron and from the University of Oklahoma. William was a finalist for Lawton Public Schools Teacher of the year in 2019. He is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music. His piano teachers include Jeongwon Ham, Thomas Labé, Anita Johns, and Hyunsoon Whang. He is an active member of local and state music teacher associations, serving as Lawton Music Teachers Association President and will again be the Treasurer of the Oklahoma Music Teachers Assosication in 2022-2024.
