How the Lab Works
This experimental space is designed to inhabit Spanish through action, movement, and artistic creation, moving away from analytical translation to connect with the idiom intuitively. The process follows a practical, multidisciplinary roadmap tailored entirely to your active project.
1. The Creative Concept & Your Project
From day one, you will start working on your own project from scratch in Spanish, whether it is a script, song lyrics, a monologue, or a conceptual performance piece. This project will be the canvas where you pour everything you learn.
2. Embodied Practice & Movement
Language is physical before it is rational. Drawing from theater tools, sensory stimuli, and physical expression, we train Spanish phonetics through raw sound and body movement. By connecting with the language from its initial, pre-meaning stage, you reproduce sounds through physical impulses. This approach is designed to remove mental translation and gain actual scenic freedom.
3. Multidisciplinary Inspiration
Our learning material consists of the works of Spanish-speaking creators across diverse fields, including cinema, poetry, music, visual, and performing arts. We analyze these pieces to find inspiration, absorb authentic cultural references, and acquire poetic vocabulary that you can immediately apply to your own work.
4. Daily Integration
To ensure the language stays alive outside our sessions, you will follow a path of progressive immersion through personalized daily micro-tasks. These practical prompt exercises are designed to incorporate Spanish into your everyday routine. The goal is to disconnect from English as much as possible, learn to be creative with limited resources from the start, step outside the self-narratives, and make room for a new voice.
About me
I am Valentina, an actress and native of Argentina. Theater and literature have always been my foundation, but my creative practice is inherently interdisciplinary. I believe that different artistic languages complement each other; their combination helps us escape commonplaces, enriching our vision and expanding our natural intuition.
My creative drive
I explore singularity and escape general formulas. I believe we all carry a small monster inside that resists being named, defined, or boxed in. My creative engine is driven by this very hidden nature—the unconventional forces that lie beneath the surface of the everyday. Finding the rare, the unusual, and the unutterable is what pushes me forward. In this laboratory, we will uncover your own creative engine.
My vision of language
Both theater and acquiring a new language offer a way out of our self-narratives and fixed ideas. Entering a second language allows us to look at the familiar with innocent, unlearned eyes—to see before we even know how to name. It is a parallel path to step away from ingrained judgments, moving past trivial communication to explicitly embody the poetic use of the language.
