I've had the opportunity to take Spanish classes from Ben Jorgensen for the past year. I started in his beginning class - not having ever taken Spanish before - and now I am in his intermediate/advanced class. Ben is a very patient teacher and relates to his students so very well. He teaches the foundation of Spanish grammar - which allows his students to build upon their knowledge and understanding of the language. Classes are conversational, interactive and fun! No matter your age (I'm an old guy!), or level of proficiency you will have a great experience learning and loving the Spanish language in Ben's classes. I plan to continue as one of Ben's students. If you are interested in learning Spanish don't hesitate to sign up for one of Ben's classes - you will love it. Me encanta Español!

Online learning in classes has often been difficult for me in the past. However, with this class, I found that with the use of technology, clarity of teaching and excellence of the teacher, I was able to learn and really enjoy my online Spanish classes. I am now signed up for my 3rd class with Professor Jorgensen. The courses are excellent! The class pace allowed me as a working adult to put in the time that I had for the course. Some weeks I could only do what was necessary but when I had more time, I had plenty of material to really dive into learning. I enjoyed the interaction with the other students and was educated in the material. The Professor was very good. He kept the class balanced, was great about review and encouraged learning. I have highly recommended him to family, friends and colleagues.

I have taken multiple Spanish classes from Ben Jorgensen both in person and virtually through Zoom. He’s the best! He’s very flexible with scheduling which is super convenient because most of us are not full-time students. I’ve loved how patient he is as we learn new concepts. He’s easy to talk to and takes extra effort to make us all feel comfortable and ensure his students understand and are progressing. Through my educational journey to become conversational in Spanish, Professor Jorgensen has become a coach, trainer, cheerleader, professor and friend. I highly recommend him to Spanish beginners and advanced students alike who are looking for a patient professor who focuses on the needs of the student and fosters friendships in a positive learning environment.

I have tried to learn Spanish for years and I feel like I am finally really learning with this class. The lessons are well paced and the instructor makes learning comfortable. Due to personal time constraints, I am unable to attend the live class but because the lessons are also recorded, I am able to attend during a time that works best for me. I always feel comfortable asking questions and the instructor is quick to respond. I love the opportunity we have to speak with classmates and the option to speak with native speakers to practice our simple Spanish.

A year ago I had no experience with the Spanish language. Now, I believe that fluency is in my future! I love Profe Jorgensen's style of teaching! He is positive, patient, and encouraging. He's always ready to answer questions, and encourages questions. He doesn't interrupt students when we're trying to figure out a sentence, but helps us use and understand what we're learning. I highly recommend these classes, and this teacher!!

This Spanish class is paced comfortably for beginners. The instructor is knowledgeable and encouraging in our progress. We participate using Zoom technology so classes are live with our instructor and students as well as recorded so we can go back and review class instruction. We have interaction in breakouts as we practice speaking Spanish from the beginning. Great class. I highly recommend it. Come join us.

The beginning Spanish class has been a fantastic way to step into learning Spanish. The Zoom classes are informative and easy to follow, while the text book is helpful as well. It has been a fun and enjoyable way to learn and the professor is knowledgable, patient and helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone that is wanting to learn Spanish or refresh what you may already know.

I am really enjoying this class with Profe Jorgenson. He teaches in a way that simplifies topics that have been hard for me to understand. The class is fun and interactive. If I'm unable to attend a class, I like being able to watch the recording afterward. Highly recommended!

I learned to speak Spanish many years ago while serving an LDS mission in Spain. Unfortunately, I was not very good about keeping my Spanish fluent and felt very regretful about losing the skill.So, when I recently received an email from my daughter telling me about these Adult Spanish classes, I figured it was either now or never.After talking with Jorgensen, I signed up for the intermediate class; I am glad I did. The class is very fun, low keyed and doable. Profe Jorgensen is fun and knowledgeable. He explains Spanish grammar and concepts in a way that is easy to understand. Not only is there written practice assignments from a textbook but there are many opportunities to speak Spanish with the other students. He has also given us tips on how to practice outside of class. He is always available if we have questions. He offers beginning, intermediate and advance classes - so no matter your skill level, you can take the class. I highly recommend it! I am looking forward to continuing on to the advance class next semester. Five Stars out of Five!!

I would recommend this Spanish class for any busy adult who wants to learn Spanish but feels like they don't have the time. We have learned a lot in the past three months, yet we have gone at a reasonable speed; I have recently taken two Spanish classes at BYU, so I am fully aware of the difference. There is no stress if you cannot do the homework or the reading; Profe realizes that the lives of adults are very different than the lives of college students. He is good at having us break out into groups (on Zoom), so that we have the opportunity to speak Spanish in a comfortable, safe place. I also love the textbook we are using. It is easy to read and understand and has great exercises to help you learn the material. I like how Profe teaches us on Zoom, but then we do the work in the textbook ourselves; this way, we get more material covered. Profe is super good at answering questions; he actually loves when we ask questions! Take this class; it's the best!!
