Hello and welcome to my official website! I am a Linguist with a strong foundation in Theoretical Linguistics, along with considerable experience in Experimental Linguistics. I am particularly interested in Morphology and Syntax. I am also motivated to understand how Language works at the interfaces of Morpho-Syntax, Morpho-Phonology and Syntax-Semantics.
Being passionate about Linguistics, I am also comfortable in the areas of Phonology, Semantics, Computational Linguistics, and Language Technology applications. Details about my research can be found here. My research is also listed in Google Scholar & Academia.
Currently, I am affiliated with the School of Languages & Linguistics, Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, where I am working as a Junior Research Fellow in the Research Project funded by the Cognitive Science Research Initiative, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. Here, my research involves understanding the acoustic and perceptual basis of Serial Verbs and Complex Predicates in language, and how event structure information is packaged in these kinds of multi-verb constructions from the perspective of Syntax-Semantics interface.
Prior to this, I have done my Masters in Linguistics and Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University (see Education). I have also worked for 39 months in the downstream oil industry as a Mechanical Engineer & my achievements in that role are summarized here.
In my leisure, I listen to songs and I love to sketch. A few of my sketches can be found here! :)
I always look forward to enriching & intellectually stimulating research projects and I would love to collaborate for research.
