Our policy is to not collect or transmit your call, contacts, or location data off your device. The Service is designed to be private and secure by processing sensitive data locally on your phone.
To perform call screening and spam filtering, the app must process incoming call information. This processing happens exclusively on your device and is never sent to our servers.
Incoming phone numbers: When you receive a call, Android provides the number to our Service for real-time analysis (e.g., checking against your local blacklist). This is processed in memory and not stored unless you enable Call History.
Your blacklist, whitelist, and call history are stored 100% locally on your device. They never leave your device, are not sent to our servers, and are not accessible to the developer or to third parties.
Spam Wall includes an optional "Location Block" feature that lets you block specific contacts only when you are inside an area you choose. This feature is off by default and is used only if you enable Background Location in the app.
How location is used: When you enable Background Location, the app accesses your device's location (GPS/network) through a foreground service to determine whether you are inside the coverage areas you have defined. Your location is processed in real time on your device to evaluate your blocking rules and to display a status notification (for example, how many contacts are blocked at your current location).
What is stored: The coverage areas ("saved locations") you create, and your most recent location used to apply the rules, are stored 100% locally on your device. Your location is never transmitted to our servers.
Background access: Location may be accessed while the app is in the background so blocking works without the app being open. An ongoing notification informs you whenever location tracking is active.
Your control: You can turn Background Location off at any time from the app's settings. When disabled, the app stops accessing your location, and the Location Block feature no longer runs.
Phone / Call Screening: to detect and filter incoming calls.
Contacts: to let you add contacts to your blacklist/whitelist (processed locally).
Location (Fine/Coarse/Background) & Foreground Service: only if you enable the Location Block feature, as described above.
Notifications: to show blocking status and the location-tracking notification.
The app uses third-party services (for maps, ads, and analytics) that may collect information used to identify your device. This collection is done by those providers under their own privacy policies.

Mapbox — used to display the interactive map when you create or edit a coverage area. When you view the map, Mapbox may process location and device information to render maps and for service telemetry, under its own privacy policy.
When you use the Service, in the event of an error the app may send limited diagnostic information to third-party providers (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics). This may include details such as device model, OS version, app configuration at the time of the error, timestamps, and IP address. This information is used solely to diagnose and fix crashes and to improve reliability.
The app itself does not set web cookies. However, third-party SDKs (such as AdMob and Mapbox) may use identifiers or similar technologies to operate and improve their services. You can control ad personalization where available via device settings or in-app consent prompts (region-dependent).
We may engage third-party companies and individuals (e.g., map, ad, and analytics providers) to:
Facilitate the Service (e.g., display maps and ads);
Provide Service-related features; or
Help us understand app performance and usage.
These third parties may process limited Personal Information (such as device IDs or IP addresses) to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use the information for other purposes.
Data handled by third-party services is retained according to their policies.
Any data stored locally (e.g., Call History, Blacklist, Whitelist, and saved locations) remains on your device until you delete it.
You can delete this local data at any time using the app's "Clear History" or "Clear Blacklist" options, by removing saved locations, by turning off Background Location, or by clearing the app's storage in Android settings. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes this local data.
Where required by law, we present a consent prompt for ads/analytics. You can change consent choices at any time via the app's settings (where provided).
We protect your privacy primarily by not collecting your sensitive call or location data off your device. While we use commercially reasonable safeguards, no method of transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.
The Service may contain links to other sites (e.g., advertisements). These external sites are not operated by us. We strongly advise you to review their privacy policies. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, their content, policies, or practices.
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If we learn that such information has been provided, we will delete it. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. You are advised to review this page periodically for changes. We will post the new Privacy Policy on this page when updates occur.
