This Privacy Policy explains how Varsha Patel ("we", "us", "our") handles information in the SpaceWise mobile app (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
1. OUR APPROACH
SpaceWise is built to work on your device. Your photos, videos, contacts and Private Space files are processed on your iPhone. We do not upload, store or have access to them. You do not need an account to use the App.
2. INFORMATION PROCESSED ON YOUR DEVICE ONLY
a) Photo Library: With your permission, the App analyses your photos and videos on your device to find duplicates, similar photos, blurry photos, screenshots and large files. It also compresses videos when you ask it to. No photo, video or metadata is sent to us or anyone else.
b) Contacts: If you choose to use Contact Cleanup, the App reads your contacts on your device to find duplicate or incomplete entries. Contacts are never uploaded. Nothing is merged or deleted until you review and confirm it.
c) Private Space: Files you add are encrypted with AES-GCM using a key kept in your device's Keychain, and protected by iOS Data Protection. The key stays on your device. It is not synced through iCloud Keychain and is not included in backups. We cannot access, recover or restore these files.
d) Face ID / Touch ID / Passcode: This is handled entirely by Apple's iOS. The App only learns whether the check succeeded. It never receives your biometric data.
e) App settings and usage: Preferences, cleanup history, storage history and free-tier usage counters are stored locally on your device.
You can remove Photo Library or Contacts access at any time in iOS Settings > SpaceWise.
3. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY
a) Analytics (Google Firebase Analytics): We collect anonymous usage events, such as screens viewed, whether a scan finished, the number of items or bytes cleaned, and whether a purchase started. These events never include file names, photo contents, contact details or anything you type. Firebase uses an app instance identifier to group events into a session.
b) Crash reports (Google Firebase Crashlytics): If the App crashes, we receive a technical report (device model, iOS version, app version and a stack trace) to help us fix bugs.
c) Remote configuration (Google Firebase Remote Config): The App downloads settings from us, such as feature flags or a required minimum app version.
You can turn off analytics and crash reporting at any time in the App under Settings.
4. ADVERTISING
The free version of the App shows ads through Google AdMob. Google may collect and use information such as your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), IP address, approximate location based on IP, device information and ad interaction data to serve, measure and personalise ads.
• App Tracking Transparency: We ask for your permission before accessing the IDFA. If you decline, you will only see non-personalised ads. Every feature still works the same.
• EEA, UK and Switzerland: We use Google's User Messaging Platform to get your consent before we request personalised ads. You can change your choice at any time from the App's Settings.
• SpaceWise Pro users do not see ads.

5. PURCHASES
Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment details. We only get confirmation from Apple that a purchase is active, so we can unlock Pro features.
6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

• Google AdMob: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Apple App Store / StoreKit: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
7. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use the limited information described above to run and improve the App, fix crashes, understand which features are useful, show ads in the free version, and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
8. DATA RETENTION
Data on your device stays there until you delete it or delete the App. If you delete the App, Private Space files are deleted permanently and cannot be recovered. Analytics and crash data are kept by Google according to its own retention settings (by default, up to 14 months for analytics and 90 days for crash reports).
9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is not directed at children under 13, or under 16 in the EEA. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, including under GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA/CPRA (California) and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. We do not hold your personal files, and analytics are not linked to your identity. You can exercise most of these rights directly in the App by turning off diagnostics, changing your ad consent or declining tracking. For any other request, contact us.
11. SECURITY
We use standard iOS security features, including encryption, Keychain and Data Protection. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but because your content stays on your device, very little of your data is ever exposed to us.
12. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Analytics, crash and advertising data may be processed by Google on servers outside your country, including in the United States, under appropriate safeguards.
13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will show when it last changed. If you keep using the App after an update, you accept the updated Policy.
