Dr. Marius Leordeanu at the kick-off meeting in Trento (Italy) of the HORIZON Project "European Lighthouse of AI for Sustainability" (ELIAS), where, together with his group from Universitatea POLITEHNICA din București and the team from Bitdefender, they are part of a network of excellence (under the ELLIS umbrella), at the European level, in the field of "Sustainable AI".

In august 2023 Prof. Univ. Dr. Marius Leordeanu was invited speaker at Aqua Nor Conference - the world’s largest aquaculture technology exhibition and Norway's greatest conference on Aquaculture Industry, where he presented his work at the Norwegian Research Center (NORCE) on computer vision and artificial intelligence for Fish Farming - a domain with an amazing potential and future.

In December 19, 2019 Professors from our research group namely Prof. Univ. Dr. Marius Leordeanu, Prof. Univ. Dr. Traian Rebedea, Prof. Univ. Dr. Bogdan Alexe and Prof. Dr. Radu Ionescu had the opportunity to participate in discussions with Romanian Minister of European Funds - Mr. Marcel Bolos on the use of European Funds in technology and artificial intelligence.
These times it was created a very important project for Romania AI research soon to be accomplished - the first Romanian HUB in Artificial Intelligence namely "HUB Român de Inteligență Artificială – HRIA" .
