SPACE SURVIVOR

Since the beginning of the humanity we have always wondered the space, going to there, and even living there. That curiosity also shaped our daily lives in earth. Such as making star based calendars. First we have send sattelites, then the mankind been in space. The world we are living in is currently 4.543 billion years old, and its sources are running out. So we are looking for new homes. Unfortunately it seems like the world is the only place that humans can live. What if we could adaptate our features according to space conditions? So as a little step we designed a creature that can live in space.

First lets talk about the morphological features that this creature has. It is gray and it is shaped like a sledgehammer becouse of its shape and durability we named it Sledgehammer. It has a hard shell which contains chitin and preserves the creature from pressure, tempreture changes, and radiation. Sometimes they change this shell and when they change it they eat the old shell to survive if they can not find any food. Second of all they have layered skin, they moult so they can adaptate to the changing environment. By changing environment we mean threats like tempreture extremes, thermal cycling, and UV radiation.

Sometimes in the world when contitions are not suitable for living the animals elapse into a phase where their metabolic activities nearly stop and its called Cryptbiosis. So we thought that our creature should also be able to do that. We said that our creature is durable and it means they should be able to fix their DNA too. As we read in an article about Tardigrades thay have a special protein called Dsup which fixes their DNA so they can be less sensitive to radiation. Now what about respiration? As we all know, there are not enough oxygen in space, so how would our creature breathe in there. The answer is they are not going to use oxygen, they can use carbon howewer there also are not any carbons in space. We looked for an option for carbon and it is silicium! There are silicium in space moreover the scientists are looking for silicium based life on space. As a consequence we decided that our creature is using silicium to excrete ATP. They do not have a specific respiration organism. Second of all the digestive system is only a tube from mouth to anus just like annelid. Its guts and excretory system is connected to its digestive system. Its nervous system has a brain and nerves. The system consists of an interior dorsal brain and a subsequent chain. Its nervous system helps with sensory input and motor response. Last of all our creature is anti-social and it doesnt need any friends.
