SpacePlant Workbench Privacy Policy
Effective October 16, 2026
Who we are
SpacePlant Corporation provides SpacePlant Workbench. Contact garbarzjacob@gmail.com for support or privacy questions. This policy describes Workbench version 1.0, including its native iPhone, iPad and Mac experience.
Your work stays on your device
Workbench stores repository snapshots, repository selections, conversations, quoted source evidence, saved proposals, retrieval caches and generation receipts in the app’s local storage. SpacePlant does not receive those contents. Workbench has no SpacePlant account, hosted inference service, advertising SDK or SpacePlant usage-analytics SDK. It does not sell your data or use your content to train a SpacePlant model.
On-device intelligence
Generation uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models framework when the model and language are available on your device. Workbench does not send your prompts, repository contents or generated answers to a cloud model provider. Apple Intelligence availability, model downloads, operating-system services and Apple’s own data practices are governed by Apple. Saved evidence remains readable when generation is unavailable. Exact source quotes are checked locally; this does not guarantee that a proposed action is correct.
Connecting GitHub
If you connect GitHub, Workbench sends authenticated HTTPS read requests directly to api.github.com for repositories you select. GitHub receives your credential, requested repository and endpoint names, IP address and normal connection metadata. Responses can contain commit and pull-request titles, author information, revisions and workflow results; imported Mac snapshots can also include branches, changed paths and bounded diff excerpts. Workbench saves received evidence locally. It does not push code, create or modify issues or pull requests, approve changes, deploy software or execute repository instructions. Sync reads recent pages, not an exhaustive history. GitHub access needs a network connection; already saved evidence can be reviewed offline. GitHub’s practices are described at https://docs.github.com/en/site-policy/privacy-policies/github-general-privacy-statement.
Credentials and device security
On iPhone and iPad, your GitHub token is stored in the device’s Keychain with device-only accessibility. It is used in the Authorization header for GitHub reads, not in chat, evidence or request URLs. Disconnect GitHub in Settings removes the saved credential and retains your evidence. Revoke the token in GitHub to invalidate it. The developer Mac workbench can instead use GitHub CLI authentication managed by its credential store. Device and operating-system security protect local files; avoid importing secrets into source material. Workbench is not a credential scanner or a secure vault.
Purchases
Optional paid access is managed through Apple StoreKit and the App Store. Apple processes payments. Workbench checks verified transaction and entitlement information locally to enable paid features. SpacePlant does not receive your payment-card details through Workbench. App Store purchase, restore and subscription-management services communicate with Apple and follow Apple’s privacy policy. Previously saved evidence and conversations remain readable when paid access expires. No purchase is required to inspect the fictional Jane demonstration.
Your controls and retention
You choose the repositories, can use Offline mode to stop Workbench’s GitHub sync, and can disconnect or revoke GitHub access. Offline mode does not disable independent App Store or operating-system connections. Local material stays until you remove it or the app’s data; files you export or copy are your responsibility. Removing an app may leave Keychain credentials or backups, depending on the platform. Disconnect and revoke credentials before removing the app if you want access invalidated. Workbench does not provide its own cloud sync. Your device backups or computer backups may include app data according to your system settings. SpacePlant cannot recover or remotely erase your local workspace.
Synthetic demonstration and external links
Jane’s Coffee Shop Game is entirely fictional. The demonstration is kept separate from the personal workspace and does not read a GitHub credential. Opening a source link, Apple subscription settings, or an external policy takes you to the relevant provider, whose own privacy practices apply. Contacting support shares whatever you choose to send by email; do not send tokens, secrets or private repository contents unless necessary for your request. Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle the request and related obligations.
Changes
We will update this policy when Workbench’s practices change and identify the new effective date. Adding cloud inference, telemetry or new data sharing would require updated disclosures; this policy does not authorize those features. Questions or requests: garbarzjacob@gmail.com.
