Gli Space Paranoids nascono nel 2006, all’ombra delle Alpi Occidentali.

La ricetta è semplice: stoner, scan rock, atmosfere psichedeliche e copiosi watt che risuonano nelle valli che ci circondano e che ispirano, da sempre, il genere che amiamo definire “mountain stoner”: un contesto meno desertico, ma non meno lisergico.

Dal 2012 al 2018 tre album all’attivo:

“Under the king of Stone”, prodotto da Mano Moccia e masterizzato da Mr. Dango dei Truckfighters, inserito da Perkele nella Top 10 dei dischi stoner del 2012;
“The Eternal Rambler” (2015), prodotto da Riccardo Parravicini al MAM Studio e scarrozzato in giro per tre anni;
“High Tales” (2018), un concept album che raccoglie una serie di miti e leggende tratti dalle “nostre” montagne, sempre prodotto da Riccardo Parravicini.

Scarrozzando in giro per l’Italia e l’Europa i nostri album abbiamo avuto l’onore di condividere il palco con mostri sacri del genere del calibro Nick Oliveri e Mondo Generator, Karma to Burn, Nebula, Stoned Jesus, Ufomammuth e tanti altri.

Ed è giunto il momento di sparare un’altra cartuccia. Il nuovo album “Badlands Ride” è pronto per finire nei Vostri giradischi dal 18 aprile 2023 grazie alla collaborazione avviata con Karma Conspiracy Records, la quale ha voluto sposare il progetto pubblicando e distribuendo il nuovo capitolo della saga. Collaborano alla promozione anche Scatti Vorticosi Records, Vollmer Industries ed Edison Box Records.

“A chough of constant sorrow” è il primo singolo che anticipa l’uscita dell'album “Badlands Ride”, accompagnato da un videoclip realizzato da Sandro Bozzolo e Marco Lo Baido.

Il disco è un viaggio che raccoglie le esperienze più oscure del nostro “stoner habitat” attraverso gli occhi di diverse voci narranti: loschi personaggi, animali selvatici, figure ultraterrene e persino fossili millenari.

Space paranoids born in 2006, under the Alps of north-west Italy.

Stoner, Scan rock, Psychedelic atmospheres, watts surrounded by Alpine valleys that inspired, since the beginning, our “Mountain stoner”.

From 2012 to 2018 three full-length released:

“Under the King of Stone”, produced by Massimiliano “Mano” Moccia, mastered by Mr. Dango (Truckfighters), insered in the top 10 stoner album of 2012 by “Perkele”;
“The eternal rambler” (2015) recorded and mixed at MAM Studio by Riccardo Parravicini;
“High Tales” (2018), a concept album produced by Riccardo Parravicini concerning myths and legends about our mountains.

During these years touring around Italy and Europe to spread the fuzz, we got the honour to play with milestones of Stoner Rock as Nick Oliveri & Mondo Generator, Black Rainbows, Ufomammuth, Karma to Burn, Nebula, Stoned Jesus, and more.

Now here we are with the new release “Badlands Ride”: a journey that gathers the darkest experiences of our Stoner habitat, through the eyes of different story-tellers: shady characters, wild animals, otherworldly figures and even millennial fossils.

The album will be published and distributed from 18th april 2023 via Karma Conspiracy Records, that choose to join us in this fuzzy trip, and in collaboration with Scatti Vorticosi Records, Vollmer Industries and Edison Box Records.

"A chough of constant sorrow" is the first single that anticipates the release of the album "Badlands Ride", accompanied by a video clip made by Sandro Bozzolo and Marco Lo Baido.

The album is a journey that collects the darkest experiences of our "stoner habitat" through the eyes of different narrative voices: shady characters, wild animals, otherworldly figures and even millennial fossils.

BADLANDS RIDE è un viaggio che raccoglie le esperienze più oscure del nostro “Stoner habitat” attraverso gli occhi di diverse voci narranti: loschi personaggi, animali selvatici, figure ultraterrene e persino fossili millenari.

BADLANDS RIDE “TRACK BY TRACK”

ELI: il fluire del fiume Ellero dalle sue sorgenti più primitive;
A CHOUGH OF CONSTANT SORROW: un gracchio alpino canta la sua sofferenza trasvolando terre selvagge, nella speranza di fare ritorno;
BLACK RIVER MILL: solitario, abbandonato al Suo mulino e pronto a scatenare le acque del fiume nero sulla valle;
BADLANDS PRIDE: il richiamo orgoglioso delle “badlands” echeggia tra il vento e le radure desolate;
COLLARDENTE: il mare, le traversate, le piogge torrenziali e i profondi solchi che hanno lasciato alle spalle;
SHARK IN THE CELLAR: l’eco di una voce dal profondo della terra;
POISON AND DELIGHT: lo psichedelico viaggio tra la vita e la morte di un vello avvelenato da un serpente, nello scenario di uno stazzo alpino rovente;
PRELUDIO ALL’URAGANO: realizzato dal clarinetto di Marco “Lobo” Lobaido, introduzione psichedelica a più voci ad uno storico brano degli Alphataurus;
DOPO L’URAGANO: Un tributo agli Alphataurus, band progressive italiana che nel 1973 ha realizzato questa perla di pura ispirazione “Sabbatthiana”, contestuale e non successiva ai capolavori di Ozzy, Iommi & co.
BLACK MADONNA: Una madonna nera ispira il cammino di un viandante;
PERONDO: spiriti sepolti nelle rovine di Perondo, il segno della guerra su quelle antiche pietre.

1. ELI: The flow of river Ellero from its most primitive sources;

2. A CHOUGH OF CONSTANT SORROW: An alpine chough sings his lament flying over wild lands, hoping to find the way home;

3. BLACK RIVER MILL: Lonely, abandoned to his mill and ready to unleash the black river’s water on the valley;

4. BADLANDS PRIDE: The proud call of the badlands, echoes between the wind and the clearing;

5. COLLARDENTE: The sea, the crossings, the torrential rains and the deep furrows they left behind;

6. SHARK IN THE CELLAR: Echoes from Earth’s depths;

7. POISON AND DELIGHT: The psychedelic journey between life and death of a fleece poisoned by a snake on a scorching meadow;

8. PRELUDIO ALL’URAGANO: Made by the clarinet of Marco ‘Lobo’ Lobaido, a psych multi-voice intro to a historical piece by Alphataurus;

9. DOPO L’URAGANO: A tribute to Alphataurus, Italian progressive band that in 1973 made this pearl of pure ‘Sabbatthian’ inspiration, contextual and not subsequent to the masterpieces of Ozzy, Iommi & co.

10. BLACK MADONNA: A black Madonna inspires the path of a traveler;

11. PERONDO: Spirits buried in Perondo’s ruins. The signs of war on those ancient stones.
