CS 4850 S03 Senior Project Fall 2022
The time of paper list is coming to an end, as our phones have developed, they can do more and more. They have the capability of recording and saving lists so you no longer have to waste paper whenever you go to the store or worry about losing your list either. But we want to go a step further for an even more convenient way of creating a grocery list and that's where our app comes in. What we see is an app where you can search for the groceries you want and simply tap them to add them to your list, in addition to this you will be able to see other people’s list to see what may be popular or find trendy new foods to try. The goal of this project is to improve convenience for frequent shoppers. This app will help those who forget important items while shopping, as well as allow others to add something to a list even when they’re not at the store.
The software we use to develop this app is React Native, which allows development and testing for both iOS and Android systems. The app will contain the ability to create lists, store them in a database, update the list by either adding or removing items, and allow multiple users to do so. Users will also have to sign into the app, so their lists will belong to them, and they will also see other lists they’re involved in.
