There was a steep learning curve throughout my research. I went from errantly googling the names of companies alongside "environmental impact" or "ethics violation," to cross-referencing 8+ databases for information on multiple ethics dimensions. For this reason, companies further down the alphabetical list may have recieved more scrutiny than those near the top. Please take all my opinions with a grain of salt, but especially the least-informed ones near the top of the list. Once I complete the list, I intend to go back to the top and revise some of my earlier scores.
Additionally, I am not free from bias. For example, I believe in theory it is unethical for corporations to influence politics at all, however, due to my own left-leaning tendencies, I may have shown more lenience to corporations that backed Democrats than Republicans. Additionally, my preconceptions of a company may have influenced the numerical score gave it and therefore the divestment/investment tier I put it in. This is part of the reason I thought it was important to share as much information as I found relevant in my decisions, and included my sources on the "resources" page.
