Hello there! Welcome to my homepage!
I am Sowmya Krishnamurthy, a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research. My research focuses on the brightness variability of the Sun and other Sun-like stars with an aim to understand how typical solar magnetic activity is in comparison to its peers. In particular, I model the stellar variability in the near-UV Ca II H&K spectral lines. I also develop models to predict and mitigate the stellar magnetic activity contamination that interferes with the detection and characterization of exoplanets using astrometric data from exoplanet hunting missions.
