About Me
I am currently Associate Director (Research) at Good Business Lab. Previously, I was a Faculty member at the Madras School of Economics. I completed my Ph.D. at Indira Gandhi Institute of Development Research (IGIDR), Mumbai in 2017. I hold a Master's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras and a Bachelor's degree from the Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS) - Pilani, Goa Campus. I was a visiting scholar at United Nations University - World Institute of Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) in 2017 and completed my PhD internship there in 2013.
My research interests include Development Economics and Applied Microeconomics, focusing on labour, gender, health and education issues. My core teaching expertise include Mathematical Statistics, Econometric Methods, Applied Micro-Econometrics, Applied Multivariate Statistics.
I have been appointed as an expert committee member of State Planning Commission of Government of Tamil Nadu that was set up to draft the state policy on education and employment.Â
I have co-won the WEEDiFine - BRAC Institute of Governance & Development, 2025, ICIMOD-SANDEE grant, 2024, The Conservation, Food & Health Foundation, 2023, SAR Gender Innovation Lab Fellowship of World Bank 2022, and Emergent Ventures grant (2020 and 2022) and 2020 APU research funding.
