I will be raising money and plunging with a team.
To begin click here -----> SouthWestern Polar Plunge Plunge Just Giving Campaign Page

If you're stuck, see step by step instructions below

If you are under the age of 18, be sure you take care of getting your waiver form signed by a parent and submitted to the Special Olympics Montana office as soon as possible (no later than three days prior to the plunge.) Instructions for the waiver can be found here.

Visit the SOMT website for the Cool Schools packet and the Plunge Toolkit!

If you are plunging with a team, and your team leader gave you or emailed you a link, follow the instructions below.

If you didn't get a link from your team leader, follow the directions here to find your team online without a link.

INSTRUCTIONS

First, open your email and click on the link your team leader sent you.

You end up at a JustGiving page that asks you to accept your invitation (see below).

Once you accept, you will be prompted to login to your JustGiving account or create a free account if you don’t have one already (Pro Tip: create an account and log into it before clicking on the link in your email… then it will let you skip this step!)

Fill out the Sign up form if you don’t already have an account:

Once you sign up, it will take you to your team’s page where it will allow you to create YOUR page as part of your team. There is a second button at the bottom. You will click that if you already started your own Polar plunge page this year and want to link it to your team.

You will be asked to set a goal for yourself and decide what your personal URL will be.

For the goal, you might want to look at the incentives and shoot for the amount you need to get what you want! Check out the Incentives tab above.

For the personal URL, your page will be found at http://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/[whatever you type in the “your fundraising page link” field]. Example from the image below: http://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/david-is-a-rock-star

Next you have the opportunity to personalize your page.

Make a title for your page (their example title includes an apostrophe 🤷‍♀️, but it won’t let you save with an apostrophe, so think of a page title without one!) Click save after each step on this page.

You have an opportunity to change your fundraising goal here. You can also come back and change it at any time.

For “page summary” you are building a sentence here…

If you wish to add the names of others on your team, you can do it under “other participants.”

Finally, you can edit “your story” or you can leave it as it is. We would recommend personalizing it, but leaving the last part with the date, time, and location of your plunge!

When you are done on that page, go up to the top and click Media.

The Media page is entirely optional. You can change the picture on your page (perhaps upload a picture of you plunging last year!) You can live stream, you can add photos to a gallery on your page, etc… when you are done there, go to the Donations link at the top.

The donations link is where you can keep track of the donations you have received. If you have anyone give you cash or check donations, you can enter them into the offline donations box and then click save. This will add to your total. You must turn in the offline donations to the plunge registration table the night of the event. Print this paper form to track your offline donations.

Finally, click on the settings link at the top.

This is where you can set an end date for your fundraising. You can end it on the day of the plunge, or you can leave it open indefinitely if you wish.

The thank you message is important! When people donate to support you (and Special Olympics Montana), they will get an email thank you. Please personalize this to make it your own and show your gratitude for your supporters' gifts!

The QR code can be copied and printed to have with you as you go about your day-to-day. If someone wants to sponsor you, they can take scan it to go directly to your page to donate!

When you are done on this page, click on the View link.

Below is what your completed page will look like (except you will have personalized yours). You can go back to the edit and settings links to make changes if you wish. Bookmark this page - this is where you will return to make any changes and track your progress. Your supporters will not see the "edit your page" link - only you see that when you are logged in.

This page is the URL you would copy and paste to give people to support you. They would click on the Give Now button to make that happen.

You can also click Share on this page to share via Facebook or Twitter. If someone else visits your page, they can click on share and share your page on their social media as well.

You can also post updates on this page that will tell your supporters how you are doing and encourage them to spread the word!

Near the bottom of your page, there is a link to your team. If you follow that link, you will go to your team’s page to see how everyone is doing:

You could share the URL of this page with others who want to join your team:

That's all there is to it! Now you can start sharing your URL with friends, relatives, and coworkers, asking them to sponsor you! Think about extending your reach! Also ask your friends, relatives, and coworkers to share your page in their social media or with others they know!
