Chess Club Membership Fees for 2023/2024

The membership fees for the Senior Section for the year commencing 1st September are:

• For age 18 or over - £40

• For students or age under 18 - £20 

• For members who are still in the Junior Section - £0

 The fee for members  joining part way through a year are pro rata for the period.

For the Junior Section there is an annual membership of £25 per year plus an attendance fee of £1 per week.

The Chess Club Committee sets the fees at a level intended to balance income with expenditure over the year. Club expenditure includes items such as:

• Hire of Main Lounge in the Central Club, Bath Street

• Insurance

• Engraving of Trophies

• Updates to Presidents Board

• Web site domain name and hosting fees

• Equipment (clocks, sets etc are replaced as necessary)

• MCA Board and ECF Registration Fees

• Travelling Expenses – Players who transport other team members to away matches are reimbursed for their petrol costs and tunnel charges

• Sundries such as postage, stationery
