Teacher/Guide

Greetings! My name is Jean Doolittle. I am the owner and lead teacher/guide at SMP. I have been working with children for over 25 years. I have experience with all ages birth to 18 years with a focus on children under age 6. I have extensive experience with a wide spectrum of children including sets of twins, premature infants, children with autism, ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, sensory disorders and exceptional children. As the oldest in a homeschooled family of 8 children, my informal experience began when I was 10 years old when I volunteered to teach my younger siblings preschool the year they were each 4. My professional experience includes 8 years as a private nanny, 12  years as a preschool teacher, 7 years as in in home child care provider,  5 years teaching parent child music classes; in addition to the great joy of raising 5 children.

Southglenn Montessori Preschool is licensed through the state of Colorado Human Services

SMP is not affiliated with AMS. 

I am CPR and First Aid Certified, also I am a Colorado state licensed CNA.

I am a certified Early Childhood Teacher.
