CHRACTER BACKGROUND
Wayne Lawrence was born on December 8th, 2000 in Hinesville, Georgia, to Harold and Nancy Lawrence. Coming from a family of service, his father was a police sergeant, and his older brother his idol served in the military.
At 15, his world changed when his brother was killed in Iraq. Struggling with grief, he clashed with his parents, and at 18, his father kicked him out. With nowhere to go, Wayne bounced between friends' couches and even spent nights on the streets. Football became his escape. He played at Gordon State College in Barnesville, Georgia where he became a star quarterback, earning a scholarship to the University of Kansas. There, he broke records and became a top NFL prospect.
However Wayne decided to move to Texas and joined the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office. Now, as a deputy, he serves with the same dedication he once gave to football. In his free time, he enjoys weightlifting, coaching high school football at South West High School, and fishing.
