SOUTHERN STATE ROLEPLAY COMMUNITY RULES (ROLEPLAY RULES)
These rules establish the roleplay standards for all members of the Southern State Roleplay community. They ensure a safe, respectful, and immersive environment by outlining expectations for conduct, communication, roleplay quality, and conflict resolution. All participants are required to follow these guidelines to maintain fairness, realism, and enjoyment for everyone.
Anything deemed unrealistic or generally poor roleplay is considered fail roleplay.
VDM includes crashing into other community members without reason or blocking someone’s path, causing them to crash into you. It can also include shooting at a person’s tires.
RDM occurs when someone shoots another member without any valid reason for example, approaching and shooting someone without reasoning.
This rule means forcing another community member to roleplay a situation they don’t want to, such as killing their character, popping their tires, stabbing them, or any other significant life-changing actions.
When your character dies, they are permanently dead. You must create a new character that is distinct from your previous one, with no relation to your old character. (Your New Character Must Look Different From You're Previous Character, and Act Differently) Additionally, you must mark your character as dead in the CAD.
The SSRP Civilian Tier System exits as a "Trust System" in which the better you roleplay as a civilian the higher rank you get which allows you to unlock more civilian tools such as guns, roleplay ideas, and more. Here are the following roleplay's you are allowed to do based on your civilian tier.
Tier 1 Civilian (Entry Tier)
Tier 1 Civilians may participate in everyday life roleplay scenarios, including simple situations such as traffic stops, shoplifting, and standard pursuits.
They are permitted to use melee weapons such as bats and knives.
Pursuit roleplay is allowed with staff approval, and Tier 1 players may conduct small-scale robberies (e.g., gas stations).
Firearms are not permitted at this tier.
Tier 2 Civilians may do everything permitted at Tier 1, along with additional privileges.
Tier 2 players may use handguns, including models such as the Beretta M9, Desert Eagle, and Colt 1911.
They may take part in more advanced roleplay scenarios such as protests or police impersonation, and they may own a business.
Larger-scale robberies, including banks and jewelry stores, are allowed with staff permission.
Tier 3 Civilians have all Tier 1 and Tier 2 permissions, with further extended abilities.
Tier 3 players are permitted to use automatic weapons, including firearms such as the AK-47 and LMT series.
All civilians must motion all weapons (Including Melee Weapons) even not in combat using either “-gg-” or “-grabs bat-.” (This rule does not apply to LEO.)
Any form of going out of roleplay during a scene is considered FRP and disrupts the roleplay, which can result in severe punishment by the SS:RP staff team.

If you crash your vehicle whether during a pursuit or regular driving you must properly roleplay the resulting damage. For example, if you collide or are PIT-maneuvered at speeds over 35 mph, you are expected to roleplay that your vehicle is disabled and that you are unable to continue driving or fleeing on foot.
Intentionally provoking law enforcement for the sole purpose of gaining attention or starting an unnecessary pursuit is prohibited. Any form of cop-baiting may result in a warning or removal from the community, depending on severity.
Kidnapping LEO, FD, or DOT personnel is strictly prohibited. Any kidnapping roleplay involving other players requires prior staff approval. Targeting protected roles or staging kidnaps without permission will result in disciplinary action.
All exotic vehicles including models such as the Chevlon Corbeta TZ, 2022 Avantismo Q8, and 2017 Avantismo R8 are restricted for use only by active server boosters. Unauthorized use of these vehicles may result in disciplinary action.
Do not continuously engage in the same scenarios such as repeatedly shooting or fleeing from law enforcement. Doing so reduces roleplay quality. Repetitive behavior of this nature will be considered Fail Roleplay.
Jail Roleplay Rule
If your character is arrested, you may not play as that character again until the next session. During booking, you must properly roleplay your mugshot by facing forward, then turning left and right when instructed. You may not leave your holding cell.
Detainment Roleplay Rule
If you are placed in cuffs, you must comply with detainment. Do not interrupt an officer while they are reading your Miranda Rights, and you must respond “Yes” to confirm you understand them.
When an LEO is running your information, you are expected to remain patient and allow them to complete the process. Repeatedly asking questions such as “Are you done yet?” or similar statements is considered Fail Roleplay and may result in disciplinary action.
If you are not directly involved in a roleplay scenario, do not insert yourself into it. For example, interrupting a traffic stop. Failure to follow this rule will result in a one-week ban for all involved parties.
You may not use any knowledge gained out of character while in character. (All Civilians must deafen when LEO is talking behind their vehicle)
You may not use any in-game glitches or unrealistic aspects of the game to gain an advantage. (EX: Using invisibility position)
All members must maintain speeds of 75 mph or below during pursuits.
You must drive realistically; excessive speeding or reckless operation is not permitted.
Circling or repeatedly looping around LEO units is prohibited.
If you are PIT-maneuvered, grappled, spiked, or otherwise stopped by LEO, the pursuit is over.
If you are tased, bean-bagged, or pepper-sprayed, you must stop moving immediately.
You must have a valid, roleplay-appropriate reason to flee; running “just for fun” is not acceptable.
You must receive staff approval before beginning a pursuit, and you may not drive off unless LEO is in their vehicle, in RTO VC, and has sirens activated.
If a roleplay scenario doesn’t go your way, don’t complain. This includes getting arrested, fined, or any other outcome. Remember, ER:LC is just a game don’t take it too seriously.
You are responsible for making sure all information related to your character such as personal details and vehicle registration—is correctly entered into the CAD. If you fail to register a vehicle or submit incomplete or inaccurate information, that is not the LEO’s responsibility. Your character may still be arrested or cited in roleplay. Any misspellings, missing details, or data errors fall solely on you.
Southern State Roleplay is a Southern-lifestyle community, so your avatar should reflect a realistic country or Texas-style appearance.
Do not wear or display law enforcement or military equipment unless you are on an approved LEO team or have explicit permission.
Your outfit must match normal everyday clothing for the weather (e.g., if it’s snowing, you should not be wearing only shorts). While this rule is not strictly enforced, you are expected to respect it.
Avatars must look realistic from head to toe. The “man face” is not considered realistic and may not be used.
Your character’s body style must fit standard realism:
Male characters: Classic Boxy body
Female characters: Roblox Girl avatar style
Unrealistic or non-thematic avatars may result in removal from the session.
You may not invent new details during a roleplay scenario to benefit yourself. For example, if you are trespassing at Rick & John’s, you cannot suddenly claim to be the owner unless that information was established before the session. All character details that could affect roleplay outcomes must be predetermined and consistent.
