MEETING PROGRAMME -  2025-26

FUTURE MEETINGS

The Southern Counties Railway Society holds indoor meetings starting this autumn at George Lee Room, Christ Church, Freemantle, Southampton, SO15 3BS.

A £3 admission charge is asked to cover costs at the door, for each meeting.

All will be at 18:45hrs start with doors opening at 18:15hrs and, providing we are allowed, there will be tea and coffee served and the usual sales stand. The programme arranged so far is as follows:

Saturday 20th September 2025. Terry and Justin Foulger = 1990’S and 2000’S Part 2

Saturday 18th October 2025. Richard Coghlan =  ‘Over the Pond’, or ‘Before  they were preserved’.

Saturday 15th November 2025. Andy/ Ryan Lamb = Iron Horse Productions DVD Film

Saturday 20th December 2025. James Freeman = King Alfred Buses Start and Finish and Preserved Buses.

2026

Saturday 17th January 2026. Members Photographic Evening Please Bring Slides or Memory Stick with Pictures on No More Than 15 Mins Slide Show Each Person  

Saturday 21st February 2026. Martin Davies = Mixed Transport Talk 

Saturday 21st March 2026. Steve Bigley = 35mm slides Railways of Scotland 1970s, 1980s and 1990s

Saturday 18th April 2026. Mike Pymm = Paddington to Bristol by Colour Rail Slides 

Saturday 16th May 2026. Neil Kearns = Alternative look at the Southern Railway 

Saturday 20th June 2026. AGM Followed By Slides/ Digital Entertainment
