MEETING PROGRAMME -  2024-25

FUTURE MEETINGS

The Southern Counties Railway Society holds indoor meetings starting this autumn at George Lee Room, Christ Church, Freemantle, Southampton, SO15 3BS.

A £3 admission charge is asked to cover costs at the door, for each meeting.

All will be at 18:45hrs start with doors opening at 18:15hrs and, providing we are allowed, there will be tea and coffee served and the usual sales stand. The programme arranged so far is as follows:

Saturday 19th October: Richard Coghlan - Didcot Newbury & Southampton Railway.

Saturday 16th November: Terry and Justin Foulger will illustrate the railway scene in the 1990s and 2000s.

Saturday 21st December: Andy and Ryan Lamb - Iron Horse Productions DVS. Seasonal refreshments will be available.

2025

Saturday 18th January: Members' photographic evening. Please bring slides or a memory stick with material for no more than 15 minutes per person.

Saturday 22nd February: (NOTE 4th Saturday) Martyn Davis - Mixed Transport. Martyn will show a further selection of slides from his extensive selection.

Saturday 15th March: Stephen Bigley - Railways of Scotland.

Saturday 19th April: A two part meeting. David Mead will illustrate his travels in Portugal. John Goodrich will conclude his survey of railway liveries by looking at freight companies.

Saturday 17th May: James Freeman - King Alfred Buses.

Saturday 21st June: Society Annual General Meeting followed by members' slides/digital images.
