Southern Illinois Health Foundation received funding in September 2019 to develop a Rural Communities Opioid Response program which includes partners at Central East Alcohol and Drug Counsel, Lifelinks, Embarrass River Basin Agency, C.E.F.S Economic Opportunity Corporation and Addiction Treatment Strategies to expand substance treatment and recovery services in  Coles, Cumberland, Douglas, Effingham, Fayette, Marion, Moultrie, Richland and Randolph counties in Illinois.
