Bathrooms/Locker Rooms
You have the right to use whichever bathroom or locker room you feel most comfortable in, per California law.
Keep other people’s perceptions in mind. If you are visibly making an attempt to look like the general consensus of what individuals similar to the gender that you are transitioning to, then you should be fine in the restroom or locker room of your gender that you are transitioning to. Carry yourself with power and pride in the men’s room, attempt to present yourself as threatening. I’m not sure how it rolls for trans gals in the women’s restroom, but I assume it’s probably not a good idea to seem threatening in there. After all, media largely focuses on the “danger” of trans women, it might not be best to reinforce that stereotype.
Per California law, single stall restrooms in schools are required to be gender neutral.
