It's been a while since I had the privilege of riding motorbikes with my brother-in-law, Sean. Our last trip was in 2019 to Franschhoek in the Western Cape, South Africa. For this trip, Sean departed from Mbabane, Eswatini and I departed from Centurion, South Africa and we met in Parys to start our adventure trip through Northern Cape, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, Orange Free State and Mpumalanga.

The men & their machines (Sean & Philip) (Day 02)
While Sean and I have ridden to the Western Cape and back before, each trip targets specific destinations that we have not previously visited or routes / passes we have not travelled before. I enjoy travelling with Sean because we get along very well and we seem to have the same riding rhythm.
Passes are always a priority when planning a trip. This trip was no exception and includes a number of them.
The highlights of my trip were:
Visiting places previously visited, some new places and tasting some of South Africa's best wines.
The time spent with family in Stellenbosch (Days 06 to 11).
Philip & Sean taking a break at Cederberg Winery (Day 04)
