Conclusion

Another great ride with my brother-in-law, Sean.  As he has commited to selling his Triumph in 2026, it is unlikely I will have the privilage of riding South African roads  with him again - What a pity.

As I could not repair the BMW rear shock absorber, I decided to ride back home with the failed shock which meant that I needed to stick to tar roads and avoid roads with many potholes.  We changed the original route to avoid gravel roads and passes, however we still stayed true to our destination camp sites.

The days in Stellenbosch were the most relaxing and enjoyable and spending Christmas with Sarah's family was very special.    My favourite ridings days were undoubtably  days 04 and 05 riding gravel roads through the Cederberg Mountains.
