Earn Free Registration

You can earn free registration to the Mayapple Trail Runs by volunteering two times at a South Mountain Conservancy program, either Trail Work, Forest Regeneration or Trash Tackler events. Race day volunteers are also eligible for free entry for the race that occurs the year after their volunteer service. Here's all you need to do:

Volunteer before the race at a SMC event

• Find a trail maintenance or forest regeneration activity on the South Mountain Conservancy Meetup page (http://www.meetup.com/somocon/). Events start in April and the calendar will be updated in March with event dates.

• Take a photo of yourself participating in the event.

• "Like" the South Mountain Conservancy on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/SouthMountainConservancy) and post the photo of yourself participating in the volunteer activity.

• Send an email to mayappletrailruns@somocon.org once you've posted the photo on the Facebook page.

• We'll send you a discount code you can use during registration that will waive the full race fee.

• If you volunteered during last year's Mayapple Trail Runs, send an email to mayappletrailruns@somocon.org . We'll send you a discount code you can use during registration that will waive the full race fee.

• If you volunteer during this year's Mayapple Trail Runs, you'll be eligible for free registration at next year's event.
