Being a Cub Scout means you are a member of a worldwide youth movement that stands for certain values and beliefs. Cub Scouting is more than something to do. It's all about the boy or girl you are and the person you will become. Cub Scouting is fun! No matter what grade you are in, Kindergarten through fifth, it can be a blast.
The pack is divided into smaller groups called dens. Cub Scouts who join a pack are assigned to gender specific dens with six to eight members, usually based on age: Lion Cubs (kindergarten), Tiger Cubs (first grade), Wolf Cub Scouts (second grade), Bear Cub Scouts (third grade) and Webelos Scouts (fourth and fifth grades).
The Cub Scout pack belongs to Mile City Church in South Lyon, MI. This group makes sure the pack has good adult leaders, a place to meet, and exciting things to do.
Our priority is to bring the benefits of Scouting to more youth while remaining true to our mission.
The BSA’s mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. We are excited to announce that our Cub Scouting program is now open to boys and girls. By welcoming both girls and boys into the program, even more youth will have access to the character development and values-based leadership that Scouting promises. The Family Scouting webpage is designed to serve as the single point of information on Scouting for the whole family.
On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
