Trent University Department of Chemistry is pleased to be hosting the 51st annual Southern Ontario Undergraduate Student Chemistry Conference (SOUSCC) in person for the first time since 2019!
For 50 years, SOUSCC has provided undergraduate research students in Chemistry and Biochemistry with the opportunity to share their research findings with peers and faculty members from across Ontario.
Chemistry at Trent
The Department of Chemistry was founded in 1964 with the formation of Trent University and consisted of three faculty members in chemistry and biochemistry. In October 2004, the new Chemical Sciences Building, seen to the right, was opened and now provides students with modern laboratory and study spaces.
Trent Chemistry proudly offers multiple degree options for students in Chemistry, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Environmental Chemistry, Chemical Physics, and Forensic Chemistry.
