I am an Assistant Professor in Economics at IIT Jodhpur.
My research examines climate risks, agricultural transformation, circular systems, energy transitions, and distress migration, particularly in contexts shaped by structural development challenges. I care about building an economics that speaks to lived vulnerability — where data, policy, and everyday realities intersect.
Teaching is one of the most fulfilling parts of my role. I especially enjoy teaching microeconomics, environmental economics, and econometrics.
My work has been featured in major media outlets, and I serve on the editorial boards of some high-impact journals. I completed my PhD in Economics at the University of Auckland.
I am always happy to connect, collaborate, or simply exchange ideas about shared interests.
