Sourav Bhattacharya

I am a Principal Research Scientist at Samsung AI Center - Cambridge, UK, where I lead a research group in Embedded Machine Learning. My team in Samsung AI focuses on developing novel algorithms for scalable deep neural network training, model compression, and optimizations for efficient runtimes of neural networks on mobile and embedded platforms. My research interests include: deep learning, acoustic modelling, audio source separation, deep neural network compression, distillation and mobile sensing.

Before joining Samsung AI Center in 2018, I worked as a research scientist at Nokia Bell Labs Cambridge, UK and Dublin, Ireland. 

I received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Helsinki, Finland in 2014.
