This is interesting. In the USA the soup maker is just not as popular as it is in the UK. I put this down to the fact that in the US they love to make soup in the slow cooker or via the instant pot and I do this too but also have a soup maker.

But this also depends on the soup maker you own, as some do have a rubbish blade and are difficult to mix. For example, the Morphy Richards soup maker is much cheaper and this shows on the blender function.

If you have got a soup maker with a good blender such as the Ninja Soup Maker or the Cuisinart Soup Maker, then you can make a soup maker chicken liver pate or use it for jams and other similar foods.

The BIGGEST cause of breaking the soup maker is something that burns at the bottom of the soup maker. So I would avoid things like popcorn, or putting things like honey right at the bottom.

Hi, ive just bought myself a soup maker but know nothing about how to use it properly, is it just a case of throwing everything into the jug and turning it on or is there more to it than that, would appreciate any help, cheers.

the main thing you need to learn is that when you boil soup that it loses a lot of flavour, so when you cook in the soup machine instead it will need less seasoning. You also need to understand that they often have a limit of the litre capacity and you need to stick to that.

The colour is nothing to worry about as the carrots and sweet potato are orange in colour so you will get an orange tint to the soup. The thickness could be down to a number of factors.

We like our soups quite thick so we tend to put alittle less water into them than usual. The water could have evaporated when in the soup maker and different soup makers do things slightly different so if you add another 25ml or 50ml of water depending if it is really really thick or just coats the back of the spoon.

This Roast Vegetable Soup recipe is so great because you really can customize it any way you want. In this recipe I use butternut squash, carrots and cauliflower, but you could add any of your favorite, in season vegetables and get an equally as delicious, hearty soup!
