Background
Sounds of Somber's creation began as part of a capstone project for our MAGD 488 team projects course at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. As a team, we wanted to create a game that not only has a immersive narrative experience, but also tackle topics that players can relate too.
Impact
Overall, we wanted to create a project that was centered around themes of anxiety and depression, in order to not only bring attention to the effects that they can have on people, but also assure those, who suffer with mental health issues, that they are not alone in their struggle.
