The Healing Powers of Singing Bowls with Jeanne Licurse

In this session wellness instructor, Jeanne Licurse will introduce you to the beautiful melodies of ancient Tibetan singing bowls. No effort is required, the bowl tones engender wellness and consciousness as you relax deeply throughout the meditation. These remarkable frequencies resonate with our DNA, calm the nervous system and construct new neuro pathways in the brain. This meditation state is among the deepest forms of relaxation possible, the “falling asleep” stage of consciousness.

Jeanne Licurse came to yoga through her love of natural healing and holistic education. As a homeopath and Montessori educator she recognized and valued the intelligent conversation, the nurturing environment and the remarkable sense of well-being that yoga provides.

Jeanne’s asana practice combines the art of yoga, the sophistication of brain science and the sacred sounds of Tibetan singing bowls.

The Science of Sound and the Nervous System

Sharon Carne is an author, international speaker, musician, recording artist, and sound healer. She is director of training and program development at the Sound Wellness Institute. Sharon founded Sound Wellness in 2008 after participating as a facilitator in a study on stress through the Integrative Health Institute at Mount Royal University and seeing how much a deeper understanding of sound and music helped.

In 2017 the Sound Wellness Institute and the Emergent Workforce were born. Through the Sound Wellness Institute, Sharon developed programs and training for holistic practitioners. Sound Wellness is now its own modality and practitioners receive the highest level of tested competency training in Canada in using sound and music to support their practice. The Emergent Workforce programs have been developed to support wellbeing, community, purpose, creative collaboration, and kindness in the workplace.
