Interested in experimental Particle Physics & Phenomenology, particularly in Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) & Jet Physics. I am also interested in Monte-Carlo event Generator Tuning.
I am an experimental particle physics Ph.D. student working on the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS experiment, CERN) at Visva Bharati, India. I am part of the SMP (Standard Model Physics) group in the CMS collaboration, working on Jet-related analysis for my doctoral degree.
Apart from the SMP group, I am also involved in the Generator group. Here, I am working on implementing new schemes within the CMS interface.
I am also the SMP group's Monte-Carlo Contact (MC Contact) person. As an MC contact person, I submit requests to produce MC samples.
I am a Level 3 group convenor as a Monte-Carlo request Manager in the Physics Data and Performance Group (PdmV). I generally look after the MC sample production and chair a monthly meeting to discuss MC production-related issues.
Besides collaboration-related work, I am interested in phenomenology and MC event generator tuning.
Worked on a CMS project titled ‘Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) Upgrade, Optimization and Utilization’ (SR/MF/PS-2/2014-VB(G)) sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, between 2019-2020.
Guided four M.Sc. students for their projects during my Ph.D. time.
