Hi, I'm Isabelle 👋🏽

I'm a registered Social Worker based in Cape Town, and I run a private practice where I offer counselling and therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families. I also offer mediation, and professional supervision for social workers. I bring both my professional training and my personal life experiences into my work. As a Brazilian expat who has called South Africa home for over 15 years, and as a mother of three, I deeply understand what it means to navigate change, build resilience, and find your footing in the midst of life's complexities. Those experiences don't stay at the door, they inform how I show up for you. My approach is warm, friendly, and down-to earth. I aim to create a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and never judged.

I believe that healing and growth happen in safety, and I'm committed to building that with you.

My Approach

I draw from a range of evidence-based and integrative therapeutic approaches, which means I tailor the work to you: your personality, your needs, and your goals. Some of the frameworks that inform my practice include: Emotionally Focused Therapy, Trauma-Informed Practice, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Play Therapy & Art Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Approaches.

You don't need to have everything figured out before you reach out. Whether you're going through something specific or just feeling like something isn't quite right: that's enough of a reason to start.

What to Expect

My sessions are a space where you can be yourself: without performance, without pressure. I'll meet you where you are. I tend to be warm, direct when it helps, and always genuinely curious about your experience. I don't do judgement. I do validation, honesty, and care. Sessions are available in person or online, and I offer flexibility where possible to accommodate different schedules and circumstances.
